Jodi joined Charlie Taylor's office in 1983 as an assistant, and fell in love with the industry. While the financial planning industry has evolved immensely since then, Jodi found the continued education challenging and rewarding. She takes the motto of Taylor & Padgett Financial Group to heart – by striving to partner with people who want to make wise decisions about money and who endeavor to leave a legacy – both personal and financial. This is probably why Jodi sometimes refers to herself as a “philanthropist in progress”.
She is very involved in the community. Some of her passions include: advisory board member of Yavapai County Community Foundation, sits on the Investment Committee of the Arizona Community Foundation since 2004, Governing Board Member of the Arizona Community Foundation, and Board Member of the Highlands Center for Natural History. In November of 2010, she was awarded the Philanthropist Leadership Award of Yavapai County.
Jodi is a breast cancer survivor, and has participated in the 3-day 60 mile walk for the last 7 years, and plans to continue to do the walk until they find a cure.
For the personal stuff: She has a fabulous son, Jake and is blessed to live in the small community of Skull Valley, Arizona. Her hobbies include work (she hasn't figured out that work is not a hobby!), she loves all that goes into the world of growing wine grapes, and is a partner in Painted Lady Vineyard. She also loves to read and is a member of a small Book Club.
